Leslie Bertin Art

An art and fashion lover, I live just north of Toronto. Trained in lighting design and dramatic arts, I now work in fashion. I discovered the medium of alcohol inks during the Covid-19 pandemic and fell in love with the movement and fluidity that can be created with them. Inspired by light and shadow, I’ve found them a useful tool in expressing all of the unknowns, and more importantly, hope. I recently have been adding marks, such as dots, to highlight the movement of the ink, and to add another dimension. I find the inks quite joyful.  Playing with the different colour combinations, I am always finding new avenues to explore. Encouraged by friends and family, I have continued to experiment, pushing myself to see what else I can unlock through the inks. I hope you enjoy looking at them as much as I do creating them!
